The Regina Rebels female U18 AAA team is coming home with a bronze medal from the Esso Cup in Prince Albert.

In their first appearance in the national championship since 2013, the Rebels beat the Northern Selects 5-1 on Saturday to finish in third place, securing the program’s first medal at the event. The Rebels previously finished fourth in 2013 and 2010.

Greta Henderson, who was named top forward in the tournament prior to the game, scored twice while Rayna Haddie had a goal and an assist in the victory. Other goal scorers for Regina were Carys Cross and Berlin Lolacher. Chloe Sorenson made 24 saves in the Rebels net.
