Israel DMW complains about spending N25k on Eba and Ogbono soup in the UK
Nigerian socialite, Israel Afeare, also known as Isreal DMW, who is also the personal logistics manager for popular musician Davido, recently expressed his dissatisfaction with the cost of food in London, United Kingdom. In a post shared on his official Instagram account, the socialite revealed that he spent a whopping sum of ₦25,000 on a meal of Eba and Ogbono soup, which would normally cost less than ₦3,000 in Nigeria.
He went further to express his dissatisfaction, pointing out that there were only three pieces of meat in the soup. This left him in a state of shock as he pondered how such a dish could cost so much. He expressed his disbelief in his post, saying:
“25k for eba and ogbono soup of 3 meats ? Wetin no reach 3k for Nigerian ooh. Hmmmm”
This statement clearly shows how baffled he was by the exorbitant price of the meal. It is not uncommon for people to experience culture shock when they travel to different parts of the world and are faced with unexpected costs, and it appears that Isreal DMW’s experience is no different.
It is worth noting that food prices in different parts of the world can vary greatly depending on factors such as location, availability of ingredients, and the level of demand for certain dishes. This experience may serve as a reminder that it is important to research and plan ahead before traveling to new places to avoid any surprises when it comes to food and other expenses.
