nubia Red Magic 7S series will arrive on July 11
For the past three generations of flagships, the ZTE brand nubia has been introducing its top-tier smartphones at the beginning of the year, followed by a mild upgrade with a newer chipset several months later.
This is happening once again, as the Red Magic 7 series are getting ever so slightly more powerful siblings in the face of Red Magic 7S and Red Magic 7S Pro. The two new phones are now certified on TENAA, and nubia decided the secret is not worth hiding anymore, so it revealed the Pro variant and the date it will be launched – July 11.
The listings on TENAA practically confirms the chipset swap as the only difference. The Red Magic 7S will keep the same footprint, the 4,500 mAh battery and the 64MP main shooter. Similarly, the 7S Pro will have a 5,000 mAh cell, a big 6.8” OLED and as much as 18 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
The images from the Weibo page of nubia showcase a white Red Magic, something we haven’t had since last year’s 6S Pro. However, the semi-transparent back panel remains the same – down to the LED-colored fan and all the fancy RPM and “Dao” writing.
